Brass strip (also known as bronze strip) is an alloy formed primarily of copper and zinc, which is very versatile and its properties depend on the ratio of copper to zinc. Brass containing more than 63% copper can be cold worked, annealed, and ductile, while alloys containing less copper and more zinc should be hot worked and have higher strength.
